  1. HELP  -  get online help
  2.  
  3. Usage:  HELP [command or topic]
  4.    or:  HELP SET [variable]
  5.    or:  HELP [READ-MODE or SEND-MODE] [command or topic]

  7. Typing HELP will show you help about a command, topic or variable.
  8.  
  9. The help screens for commands look like this one.  The first line has the
  10.   name of the command and a short definition of what it does.  Under that, a 
  11.   line starting "Usage" shows what else may be specified with the command;
  12.   anything in square brackets [] is optional.
  13.  
  14. Examples:
  15.     MM>help                 #general help
  16.     MM>help headers             #help about the command HEADERS
  17.     MM>help addressing           #help about the topic of addressing
  18.     MM>help set append-signature #help about the variable APPEND-SIGNATURE
  19.     MM>help send-mode erase      #help about the Send Mode command ERASE
  20.     MM>help ?                    #what help is available

  23. Note that HELP at the MM> prompt is for commands you could use at the MM>
  24.   prompt.  HELP in Read Mode (Read> prompt) and Send Mode (Send> prompt)
  25.   is different.

  27. Another form of help is provided by the question mark:

  31.     MM>re?                  #what commands are available starting "re"
  32.     MM>read ?               #what further can be typed after "read"

  34. Note that "help ?" is a version of the last use of "?".  It shows what you
  35.   can type after the command HELP--that is, what help can you get.
